Nuts and citric fruits. 7,8"X 7,8" Acrylic on canvas panel

Continuing with the small compositions I decide for painting fruits under the direct light of the Sun, it is a very strong light that there provokes a wonderful and natural contrast. The irregularities of an opened and illuminated fruit are similar to a landscape itself, and it is easy to come to the hyperrealism from there, though I have prefered remaining in an intermediate point.

I am employed at a new series of still lifes which topic is basically small objects of my house, with a subject matter similar to the hyperrealism but with a treatment more spontaneously, this it is the first one, where there can be seen the elements that form the beginning of a picture.

In this picture I am penetrating into the possibilities of the direct painting, after doing a lot of time a painting more quiet and theoretical, nevertheless with the mixture of allaprima painting and glazings, it is possible to come to an intermediate point between the freshness of the direct painting  and the depth  colors  of the classic painting, there is a lot of possibilities

I like panoramic sizes to these types of landscapes, because there are many reflects in the waters that can be interesting with  a fluid brushstroke

A typical student bike I found at Granada´s university, I try allways to introduce contrast by lights, and I´ve been impressed with the sun light at the wheel.  The blue color of the bike helps to the painting.

I met this boy this summer playing with a truck and I took a photo, I love the lights of the cabin and the reflects of the stones in the cask.

After a long time I return to paint with oil, I have found a place to do, and I´m delighted with colors and textures, soon I will start with glazings and underpaintings. This it the first oil paint in one year, a river near Granada, at autumn. I choose a panoramic format because I like the "developement" of the water and the borders.

I think the skecth treatment of this painting benefits the composition, this it a common resource,  but I also finish other zones for suggest the complete process of a painting.
